Nablus – An-Najah National University
In a new international achievement reflecting the growing status and presence of An-Najah National University on the global stage, Palestine, represented by An-Najah National University, has made qualitative progress in the global ranking of the International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience (IAESTE). Palestine leaped from 34th place globally last year to 12th place globally for the year 2026 in terms of the number of student exchanges, among 88 participating countries in the association.
This achievement comes as a result of the continuous support provided by the presidency of An-Najah National University for international exchange programs, and its keenness to enhance practical and technological training opportunities for its students in international institutions and companies, in addition to attracting students from various countries around the world to train in Palestine, thereby contributing to the promotion of academic and technological cooperation and the exchange of expertise on an international level.
In this context, Dr. Mohammad Abu Abiah, Representative of Palestine in IAESTE and Associate Professor at An-Najah National University, emphasized that this advancement represents a significant milestone for Palestine and the university. It reflects the success of the efforts exerted over the past years to expand the network of international partnerships and increase student exchange opportunities, particularly in engineering, technological, and scientific fields.
Dr. Abu Abiah pointed out that this achievement would not have been possible without the continuous support of the university’s presidency and administration, and the joint efforts of the academic and administrative staff and international partners, stressing the importance of continuing to work on expanding international training opportunities and enabling students to gain practical experience in advanced industrial and technological environments.
This progress serves as a key indicator of the development of Palestine's participation in international student exchange programs. It reinforces the role of An-Najah National University as a leading academic institution in linking university education with practical training and the global labor market, providing Palestinian students with the opportunity to engage in international experiences that contribute to developing their skills and professional competence.
This achievement underscores An-Najah National University’s ongoing commitment to enhancing Palestine's presence on the international academic stage and establishing its position as a bridge for scientific cooperation and the exchange of knowledge and expertise with various countries worldwide.
